• Compressor runs but no solution flow. The check valve in the manifold housing sticks open, allowing pressure to bypass the reservoir. This failure accelerates in Denver’s hard water areas like Stapleton and Green Valley Ranch, where mineral deposits seize the valve seat.

An owner can safely inspect the manifold for visible cracks and verify the model stamp against Nikro’s parts diagram, which is publicly available. You can also flush the solution line with warm water to clear crystallized residue, though this rarely restores full function. What you should not attempt: disassembling the compressor head, which contains a spring-loaded check valve under pressure, or drilling out a worn nozzle orifice. Incorrect orifice sizing changes the droplet spectrum and can leave sanitizer pooling in the plenum, where it corrodes galvanized steel or triggers mold growth from excess moisture.
